Meet Dave
Learn about the extraordinary life of Dave—a devoted police officer, family man, cancer warrior, and community leader whose legacy of service continues to inspire and guide our mission today.
One of Dave’s most inspiring chapters began when he was diagnosed with a rare cancer called ocular melanoma. Given an initial life expectancy of just 12 to 14 months, Dave refused to let a diagnosis define him. Instead, he faced every challenge with courage, faith, determination, and an unwavering positive attitude. Over the course of 12 years, he continued to live life to the fullest, inspiring countless people with his resilience, strength, and gratitude.
Even while facing his own battle, Dave remained focused on helping others. Through the Paterson Police Department, he helped raise more than $25,000 for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, supporting children and families facing battles of their own. His generosity and compassion never waverd, and he consistently found ways to give back to those around him.
Fave’s faith was the foundation of his life, and his greatest legacy is the love, kindness, and selflessness he shared with others. The All For Dave Foundation was created to honor that legacy and continue the values he embodied every day - service, compassion, community, and hope.
Today, we carry Dave’s spirit forward by creating opportunities to help others, bring people together, and make a meaningful impact in our communities. His story reminds us that one person can truly make a difference, and that a life lived in service to others leaves a legacy that lasts forever.
This is more than a foundation- it is a celebration of a remarkable life, a testament to perseverance and generosity, and a promise to keep Dave’s light shining for generations to come.
